TERMS OF SERVICE

 

Welcome to WorkPeople.ng! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WorkPeople.ng platform and services provided by Maxmett International Limited ("WorkPeople.ng," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the WorkPeople.ng platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

a. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WorkPeople.ng.

b. By accessing or using the WorkPeople.ng platform, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are accessing or using the platform on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

c. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the WorkPeople.ng platform.

 

2. WorkPeople.ng Platform

a. WorkPeople.ng is an online platform that connects individuals or businesses seeking services ("Customers") with independent service providers ("WorkPeople").

b. WorkPeople.ng provides a platform for Customers to post service requests and for WorkPeople to browse and accept those requests.

c. WorkPeople.ng does not employ or contract with WorkPeople directly. WorkPeople are independent contractors solely responsible for the services they provide.

d. WorkPeople.ng does not endorse or guarantee the quality, reliability, or suitability of any services provided by WorkPeople. Customers are solely responsible for selecting WorkPeople and entering into service agreements with them.

e. WorkPeople.ng reserves the right to refuse service, suspend or terminate accounts, or modify the platform at its discretion.

 

3. Registration and Account Security

a. To access certain features of the WorkPeople.ng platform, you must create an account and provide accurate and complete information.

b. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

c. You agree to notify WorkPeople.ng immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

d. WorkPeople.ng may rely on the information provided by you and assumes no liability for any losses or damages arising from inaccurate or incomplete information.

 

4. Service Requests

a. Customers may post service requests on the WorkPeople.ng platform, including a description of the requested services, location, and any specific requirements.

b. WorkPeople may browse and accept service requests based on their availability and suitability.

c. Once a service request is accepted, a service agreement is formed directly between the Customer and the selected WorkPerson.

d. WorkPeople.ng is not a party to any service agreements and is not responsible for the performance, completion, or outcomes of any services provided by WorkPeople.

 

5. Fees and Payments

a. WorkPeople.ng charges a service fee for facilitating connections between Customers and WorkPeople.

b. WorkPeople.ng reserves the right to modify the service fees at any time, and such changes will be communicated on the platform.

c. Customers agree to pay the agreed-upon service fees directly to the WorkPerson who provided the services.

d. WorkPeople.ng is not responsible for any payment disputes or issues between Customers and WorkPeople.

e. Customers and WorkPeople are solely responsible for complying with any applicable tax obligations arising from the provision or receipt of services.

 

6. Prohibited Conduct

a. You agree not to engage in any prohibited conduct while using the WorkPeople.ng platform, including but not limited to:

   i. Violating any applicable laws or regulations.

   ii. Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.

   iii. Posting false, misleading, or defamatory content.

   iv. Uploading or transmitting any viruses, malware, or other malicious code.

   v. Interfering with or disrupting the functionality of the platform or the services provided.

b. WorkPeople.ng reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against any violators of these Terms.

 

7. Intellectual Property Rights

a. The WorkPeople.ng platform and its contents are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

b. You agree not to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, or services obtained from or through the WorkPeople.ng platform without prior written permission.

 

8. Privacy and Data Protection

a. WorkPeople.ng collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to such collection and processing practices.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

a. To the extent permitted by law, WorkPeople.ng shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform.

b. WorkPeople.ng's total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to WorkPeople.ng in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

 

10. Modification of Terms

a. WorkPeople.ng reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such changes will be effective upon posting on the platform.

b. It is your responsibility to review these Terms regularly to stay informed of any changes.

 

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

a. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

b. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

 

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WorkPeople.ng regarding the use of the platform and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
